In ancient Jewish tradition Satan is simply an angel doing the work that God assigned to Satan to do.
The word Satan means challenger. With the idea of Satan challenging us, or tempting if you will. This description sees Satan as the angel who is the embodiment of man's challenges. This idea of Satan works closely with God as an integral part of Gods plan for us. His job is to make choosing good over evil enough of a challenge so that it becomes clear to us that there can be only one meaningful or logical choice.
Contrast this to Christianity, which sees Satan as God's opponent. In Jewish thought, the idea that there exists anything capable of setting itself up as God's opponent would be considered polytheistic or setting up the devil to be an equally powerful polarity to god or a demigod.
Oddly, proof for The Christian satan/devil mythology is supposedly found in the ancient Jewish texts that were borrowed to create the bible. One can’t help but wonder how Christians came up with such a fantastically different interpretation of Gods assistant Satan in their theology.
Other hints about Satan’s role in human relations can be seen if you look at the name Lucifer. It meaning in the original tongue translates as Light bearer or light bringer. Essentially the bringer of enlightenment. The temptations of the Satan idea bring all of us eventually into Gods light. Hardly the Evil entity of Christian mythology.

If God wanted to He could, but because the world is a testing ground, we need someone to make it more difficult for us. That's why there is Satan, and that's why God hasn't gotten rid of him.

according to christianity - earth is a war zone between God and Satan to see who will side with whom. God is more powerful than Satan. The whole idea is for God to have "enough" members on his side believing in him, when God decides that is enough, then thats when the world will end.

Following the autumn of mankind God the author instituted a punishment that prevented human beings going to a place or planet reported as Heaven yet he did promise that for the time of the destiny he might deliver a Saviour so as that mankind would desire to get lower back on course lower back and locate a thank you to Heaven. devil became the instigator of sin and has eternal punishment waiting for him whilst christ returns for mutually as he has had time to instruct human beings faraway from God, many have become conscious of Christ in direction of the scaling down technique that faith in God brings. (faith comes via listening to and listening to via the understand God) many don't care to take heed to the message of salvation and instead are crammed with earthly cares. devil's time will come whilst he's destined to the lake of hearth, likewise all people who sought to serve him instead of Christ in this international will connect him in that lake of hearth, and not purely for a season yet continuously.

hey, this is Bricee. The reason Gos doesn't get rid of Satin is because he want's us to make the choice to obey him on our own. He is a God that gives us a chioce in every thing that we do. So he figures you'll obey him if you want 2 and he 's never going to force you.

Because God gave us a will, which means we have the freedom of choice to do as we like whether right or wrong. Therefor there has to be something to choose other than HIM.

Well he simply got reassigned for lack of a better term. His job is now to torment people and to separate them from God. At least He got a kingdom of his own to rule....no one looking over his shoulder telling him how to run things and all.
