Depends on where you live...If it is in the states, I would suggest COSTCO...You can get a 40 0z. jar of cashews for $9.99 most of the time...There is a few months that it goes up a $1.00...Mixed nuts, pistachios, vary, too, and pecans, walnuts, and almonds in the bakers section, goes up and down, too...But they always seem cheaper than most retail stores...We buy nuts there every month, and you can tell our favorite is at the top of this page...lol...

Historically, nuts are pricey. Very specialized agriculture and processing costs make them impossible to sell cheap unless someone is taking a loss. Larger quantity purchases often offer better price per pound. Food co-operatives may avail you of better pricing but you must dedicate to their requirements. Your standard for "reasonable price" may be unrealistic in the marketplace. Peanuts are too expensive for some people and others eat dog food. Perhaps be glad that you can occasionally buy the nuts you desire. Affordability may come for you when your financial situation improves. For now be happy with the nuts you are able to get your hand on.

Costco or Bj's are great stores to buy bulk amounts for less. They have websites online if you search for them.
