These contridictions in the bible are perplexing to me. If a road map told you to turn left AND right at the same time, if you were told to stay AND go at the same time wouldn't you be confused?

I have studied the bible, where do you think I got these quotes?
'Tree Hugger ' is right, no one can give an answer. But then, its very hard to explain a paradox isn't it?

Thank you Omar, now it seems we have two "chapters" that contradict each other, a New and Old Testament.
I don't know, if I were to follow something(bible) that told me two different things, no matter who said them, I would be confused and forced to give watered down opinions also.

Ecclesiastes 1:4--When you look at the surrounding verses, what is being talked about are cycles so this verse can be interpreted as saying that the cyclical world order remains forever
thus making life possible. Compare with Genesis 8:22. "As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night, shall not cease.

The Hebrew term that is translated as "face to face" means to be articulate and direct. It is figurative for immediate contact. It is also used in Exodus 33:11, Deuteronomy 5:4, and
Deuteronomy 34:10. It's actual literal meaning is "mouth to mouth". That would look strange in any english translation.

Genesis 17:10 is a directive to Abraham and his offspring who
were to become the nation of Israel. The message of Galations
5:2 is that the church is not benefitted by Christ through the
ritual of circumcision because that falls under the old law.

The Hebrew word in Genesis 22:1 is accurately translated as
"test" and more accurate english translations do say "test".
The Greek word that is translated in James 1:13 means
"temptation" as well as an external test but given the context, it
is accurately translated as "tempt" as with evil and not a mere
test.

What is confusing you is that you are relying on a single english
translation that is not very accurate. To understand you have to
go to the original languages of Hebrew and Greek to get the full
meaning.

this way of component regrettably makes a lot of human beings become atheists, yet scholars will inform you that the source comes under suspicion if various debts tell precisely a similar component, because it would be probably plagiarized. because of the fact the account became advised via 2 distinctive human beings (Matthew and Mark) it quite is available to have 2 distinctive descriptions. Matthew became probable there whilst the incident got here approximately, yet Mark extra desirable than probable wasn't, not being between the 12 unique apostles and particular won his innovations from one in all the different apostles (probable Peter). Now, take various human beings and function them witness some thing fabulous, or maybe annoying. Wait 10 years, and function them relate what they bear in strategies of the incident. there'll be broadly various debts with some remembering issues that others do not. upload to that, the actuality that Mark relates the guy's call, yet Matthew would not. Mark focuses on the actuality that Bartimaeus' call became curiously nicely-everyday so as that anybody who examine the account and had to examine it out would desire to locate Bartimaeus and ensure the account. Matthew for his own motives, did not think of this became significant, and did not relate it. Now, look at it this type. various pupils turn in a history checklist of the destruction of the Spanish Armada off the coast of england, and that all of them say precisely a similar component. The professor might on the instant become suspicious, believing that they have been copied from a similar source. yet human beings condemn the Bible because of the fact various human beings write in regards to a similar account, yet tell distinctive information? isn't this a double wide-unfold?

You obviously need a Bible study. The Bible does not contradict itself. You have to understand the context of what's being said. For instance, what if I told you that Jack Kent Cook built the Fabulous Forum in Inglewood, California, where the Lakers used to play, but somebody else said it was built by construction workers and plumbers, carpenters and glaziers. Which one of us would be right? Both of us. It all depends on the point of view of the one speaking. Jack Kent Cook financed the construction of the Forum but people in the construction industry actually did the building. So in a sense, both answers are correct.

In your first Bible "contradiction", Ecclesiastes is talking about the literal planet, Earth. In 2 Peter, it is referring to the destruction of ungodly people. At times the Bible speaks of the earth as a society of people. See Isaiah 65:17 and Genesis 11:1.

In your second example, Moses had such a close relationship with Jehovah that he rightly said "I have seen God face to face". However, John 1:18 is in harmony with what God told Moses at Exodus 33:20: "You are not able to see ny face and yet live." Instead of accusing the Bible of containing contradictions, it would be nice if you would allow Jehovah's Witnesses into your home to help you to understand God's Word better.

First, let me say that no one can understand the Bible without the Holy Spirit, in other words if you are saved. and even me going into detail to show these are not contradictory, but rather complementary of each other will still not fit together in your mind without the presence of the Holy Spirit. there are two things that you need to know when studying the Bible (which I know you aren't studying, you are copying and pasting from a website)

1. the English language has changed and words that look the same have a different meaning.. for example: "suffer" in today's language it means a long enduring hurt.. but back then it meant "to let, or allow" .

2. know that some things in the Bible are symbolic and some are literal. again, you will never the Holy Spirit's help.

first one the earth will become a new earth according to Revelations, the old earth will pass away and a new earth will come.

seeing God you must understand that Jesus is also God, many times in the old testament there are scriptures then can be attributed to Jesus talking to people. the Angel of God is Jesus speaking to people, because He would accept sacrifices from people. also when they would ask for His name He would answer it is to great for them to understand.

circumcision God is allowed to change His form of salvation or disposition. that was under the Mosaic law and a foreshadowing of the need for the circumcision of the heart. the getting rid of the sin of our hearts.

and think that for Genesis 22 is the correct word is test not tempt. you can not tempt a persons faith, which is the most important part of Genesis 22 is testing of faith. Genesis 22 is the most pivotal chapter in the old testament.

Each of these contradictions contain one line from the Old Testament, and one from the New Testament. As you may know, the books of the Old Testament were written by prophets, speaking directly to God. The books of the New Testament were written by the Disciples of Jesus Christ, whom were a third-party group, speaking to Jesus who spoke to God. They were actually more of recorders. And I wouldn't be surprised if these men threw there own views into the books. It symbolizes change, since in the Old Testament, the majority of God-fearing people were Jewish, while in the New Testament, Catholicism and Christianity (one in the same) were the up-and-coming population/religious majority, and thus the views were different.

I.E, Jews are circumcised religiously, whereas in Christians, it is uncommon and more of a personal, humanly choice.

These are not contradictions. You just need some learnin. Alot of Bible study needed there. Take these to a good Bible scholar and he'll/she'll shoot holes in your contradiction theory. You need to sit down with someone and study the answers to these, you're not going to see it here or would you care to take the time.
