its because there religion hasnt seprated the clerics from power.
when the pope was very powerfull in christanity and had the church had the control on the state till the early 19th century things were tough for christians , because they had to abide by the law of the church and not think for themselves , its the same for muslims, thats why they are not ready to move on....but who cares they are hurting themselves , look at iran, iraq even with so much oil they are so backward

iam a muslim . we are open for critisizing our releigion but we do not accept any offencive things towards our releigion and there is a difference bettween criticizing and offending
