If we were to put only our real dirty dishes in the dishwasher and washed the lightly dirty ones in the sink, how much energy of the "Earth's resources" would we save on a yearly basis ?

It may not seem so significant for one household to do this...but what about if every household in the world would do this ?

Theoretically a lot, but it's not really something we can calculate without more data, like how much energy is wasted from dishwashers, and what the average proportion of very dirty to lightly dirty dishes would be.

You might also consider the health effects of that. Dish washing machines produce cleaner more sanitized dishes.

Since they do, people will be more healthy which will cause more people to use more electricity, heat and other resources.

So imagine if 1 out of every 1000 people don't get sick and die that will be an additional 6 million world wide that will use more electricity this year.

So we could save alot if we could just get rid of dishwashers. We might also be able to produce more jobs for the immigrants.
