I don't know how old you are, but I'll assume you're a teenager. Don't live your life by listening to what someone else thinks about you or your limitations. All succesful people set a goal for themselves knowing there are going to be failures along the way. If you don't take some risks in your life, you wont enjoy the ride near as much. So I say, yes, if you like this girl, ask her out. She might surprise you and say yes. But you'll never know unless you ask. And what's the worst that can happen? She'll say no? If she does, just laugh and say, "Everybody told me I had no chance, but I just like you so much, I had to ask". Who knows, she might change her mind.

Pshh, first off, don't listen to them. Secondly, so what if its true ? You and I both know very well that you wont get over her if you don't hear the definite 'no'. Its always like that. I doubt you'd wanna chase her hopelessly for a long time so go for it ! Who knows, maybe you do have a chance after all ! :)

One thing I have learned is that you will never know if she is interested in you unless you ask her out. You will have more to gain if you ask her and nothing to lose. Ask her out discreetly. Don't ask her out while your friends or her friends are around.Good luck.
