I don't know where you live but I'm about 3 hours from Battlecreek, and the Kelloggs factory. The make personalized boxes of frosted flakes with pictures and a couple of words. So I got pics of all my groomsmen and had them put on the boxes with the caption Groomsman 2003. Its at least different from the traditional flask... you can also get personalized bats or baseballs.

As a groomsmen many times the best one i got was the groom got us all tickets to an Eagles game,we had a blast.Or something similar say charter a boat and go deep sea fishing.or a cool concert. All the flasks, beer steins, cuff links etc.are gathering dust in box in my basement.

We went to an Arts & Crafts fair, albeit it girly, and went from stand to stand looking for individual gifts.

At first my fiance was going for the traditional beer steins, but he soon realized that traditional beer steins ARE traditional. Instead he used each groomsmen personality to get a gift under $10. For example, one of the groomsmen is a minister (his wife is also a minister and is our officient), so we bought him an antique picture of the communion table. We have another grooms attendants who is really into family, so we purchased a home decoration and says "Love, Family, Friends."

Use their personalities instead of going with the easiest possibility.

My husband gave his groomsmen a framed picture of their favorite football team/player for their "man" room......we wanted to stay away from the typical flask, shot glass, beer mug, etc. I think pocket watches engraved with their initials is a nice gift too. And keep in mind you don't have to get them all the same thing - just try to stay in the same price range and get them something that you think each one would like.

Try to avoid giving generic gifts. You can always be innovative and buy the guys sporting gear, game or concert tickets, or the hottest new electronic gadgets. If you still can't come up with a good idea stick with the tried and true: traditional items such as cuff links, beer steins, monogrammed flasks, and cigar paraphernalia.

Most importantly go to these websites for help. Women get guidance from wedding links and sites why shouldn't guys. That is where my hubby and I figured it all out from.

Good Luck and congrats!

I took my groomsmen and bridesmaids, since they were all couples, to a sporting event. They have a minor league baseballl team where I am from and they have these special duck blind tickets, which means you get all you can eat and drink (beer included). I know they were all exteremly happy with the gift and it was a great time!

Get all the groomsmen together socially and ask them! Think about what they say and go one step further, or not at least you have their best interest at heart.

I like the idea of tickets to a game or other social event that will occur after the wedding. They can keep the ticket stub as a memento and it will reassure them that you are not going to forget them after the wedding.

Keep your friends close. Congratulations & many happy years wished for you!

I know there's a website where you can get personalized aciton figures with the person's face on it (then you can dress it to look like them). That would be pretty cool. But, if that is too cost prohibitive:

Pocket Watches
Tickets to their favorite team's game
Flasks engraved with their initials
Tickets to a concert
Cufflinks
Digital Cameras
