They are fools
Also with the sin and be fogiven thing. It doesn't count if you do something wrong with the intention of praying to god and it being ok.
The only time God forgives our sins is when we sin and we are truly sorry for the sin does God actually forgive us.
We are all human and we make mistakes, if us people are supposed to forgive each other God does the same.
After all we were created in His image and we have to follow his lead in order to get the magnificent things h has in store for us

Why do you think god does exist? There are sound logical explanations for most of what you can see around you without the need for some "supernatural Dad" in the sky, and there are some very viable theories to explain almost everything else. You might approach the question from the opposite angle: If there really IS a god, why does he care so little about so many innocent people? I would have no problem believing that a just, omniscient and omnipresent God was responsible for Jeffery Daumer's death, but having studied a variety of theologies, I still don't comprehend why babies die of cancer. Whenever I ask this of religious people, they almost always answer that we as humans are not smart enough to understand the "grand plan". If we are too dumb to understand that, then what arrogance possesses religious people to believe that they understand "God"?
Scripture is simply not enough evidence of anything, it can easily be shown to be the flawed work of men, not the inspired word of God.
Having said all that, I am not neccessarily an atheist, probably more of an agnostic. I'm not that smart, but I am smart enough to realize that anyone who truly believes they understand the nature & existence of God is just fooling themselves.
Even if He's there, He either doesn't notice us, doesn't care much about us, or has a very different notion of fairness & justice than the one we have invented for ourselves.

Actually, they believe in the thing called Evolution stemming from the Big Bang Theory....
(I'm not atheists myself, I have some belief in God... but I have to ask) Why do you believe God exists? How did he get there? Is he just there by coincidence? Exactly where is he at? Heaven? If so, where is Heaven? Why has no body found it? Who or what created God? He couldn't have just "poof" been there could he?

I don't know. Try as I might to unload myself of old superstitious religious beliefs for lack of evidence or credibility, the notion of a no-frills God, the uncaused original cause of everything that is, without all the man-made morality dramas, still lingers with me. I cannot explain what why atheists believe as they do any more than I can understand why others believe in the outrageous religious doctrines that they do. Sometimes, I barely understand my own beliefs, even well into my fifties.

I am not an atheist, but I can see how they may not believe in God.
After all, believing in God is having a faith that there is a God. By definition, faith is believing in something that can not be proven. The existance of God can not be proven. If you have faith, you believe there is a God. If you don't have faith, you don't believe.
I believe actual proof that God exists would actually cheapen the FAITH that God exist. We as believer don't need proof, yet we believe.

It seems much more logical to assume something that can never be proven to exist does not exist until it is proven rather than assume a book written over 2,000 years ago it the total truth and proves everything you ever need to know.

Do you think God is just there by coincidence or what? Get logical, man. What applies to man also must be applied to God.
Since you think things like people have to be made, you obviously treat God with the same logic, so who made God, or is he wherever he is by coincidence?

There is no credible evidence to support God belief. You produce God and I'll believe he exists.
Why & how we got here is totally irrelevant.
How we live our lives each day is far more important than concerning ourselves with things over which we have no control and do not affect our daily lives.

People tend to doubt what they themselves can't perceive. It is the same when it comes to magic, spirits, and ESP. I see it as arrogance. But I don't fault these people. Faith is good, but aren't we all looking for "proof." God has not revealed himself to all. I think we must seek him for that to happen. I don't doubt the existence of God. I know of him. I doubt that we know His true intentions for us and the world.

well...i asked an atheist this question once and this is what they said...
"I don't believe because people think they can do any wrong doing and think that the only thing they have to do to make up for it...is ask for God's forgiveness. I don't believe in that....You shouldn't do those wrong things to start with...So I don't believe in God because of what people think they can get away with, and they seem to think its okay because they 'repent'."
i wrote it down...for article research...
