Christians don't, it's the false Christians who do, because they try to mold Jesus to fit what they believe instead of accepting God's Word as Truth.
Jesus said he didn't come to bring peace, but a sword, and yet look at how many who claim to be Christians, try claiming Jesus came to bring peace.
