when i observe english people when they are not involved in any conversation (e.g. on tube), most of them look uptight and uninterested in other human beings.

And when they start a conversation they change completely and pretend they enjoy the convesation and care about a person they speak to (it looks pathetic if you are from another culture and perceive their real attitude, as they may think it is invisible or accept this mutual bullshiting).

this extreem change shows what is real and what is an overly friendly attempt to overcome the english antisocial nature. ..... being english, are you aware of this or do you think it is normal to bullshit other people ?

Are you sure you aren't American? I see that here too to some extent, especially among people my age (I'm 21). I don't like it, but it happens so much it must be normal by definition. Have a wonderful day!

First of all, unless you have degrees in psychosociology, you're presuming a lot to be true without expert proof.

I would be inclined to say that the English are reticent about opening up to just anyone but once you make the breakthrough you have a much more sincere friend than the typical person from another nation. From my own life experience, for example, I used to find that the warmest, friendliest people I ever met were the Spanish; I had loads of good Spanish friends, yet as soon as I went back to the UK despite many attempts on my part not one has made the effort to stay in contact.

You see how there can be many explanations to the things you see? Open your mind.

Sorry, but when did you qualify in mind reading? How on earth could you possibly know whether someone is interested or cares or not? Your perception doesn't equate to fact and nobody knows for sure what others are thinking. Also, perhaps the tube isn't the best place to observe indigenous people in a relaxed environment..its full of stressed people on their way to and from work and tourists!

Why post a question which is offensive, racist and narrow minded?

Here's something to fuel your view of English people.....if you don't like how people behave here its simple....don't visit. That way there is one less smiling freak on the tube for us Brits to worry about.

You for sure stay in a super city the place everybody (all nationalities) is at risk of be quiet and considerate till they strike up a dating with somebody else who desires to speak. With contemporary activities in London, and different Eurpoean cities, is it any ask your self human beings look uptight and bored to death - they don't desire to get abused! besides, how do you understand what nationality the folk you 'observe' are? everybody, the international over, share comparable attributes and you will desire to understand out of your 'observations' that it quite is one in all them! Why did you sense the would desire to ask this question 13 cases - in accordance on your profile! What does this easily let us know approximately you - possibly we would desire to computer screen your insecure behaviour (or is it bullshit!) Get out and meet genuine English human beings in social circumstances and you will understand we are a somewhat stable bunch.

I think you have got it wrong. People are too busy looking out for suspicious packages and people (hint hint) to engage in idle chit-chat. We don't have to explain our way of life to anyone and if you don't like it you can go home as I am sure you are not needed in the UK.
