What you want to gain is NOT fat, I presume. What you want is to have a healthy weight gain which doesn't transform to any unhealthy repercussions, so I would recommend you NOT to just binge eat on ice-cream and other fatty stuff.

To have a long term healthy weight gain, I would recommend you to start an ACTIVE lifestyle (going to gym is great!) coupled with an increased intake of carbohydrates to supplement your new active lifestyle.

What has weight gain got to do with gym?? Because when you go to gym, you are actively breaking down your muscles to STIMULATE muscle growth, which is the most healthy of weight gain (transforms to a good and healthy image as well! And all those gorgeous people you'll meet in the long run...)

Of course, you must start eating more and more and more to allow enough nutrients for your muscles to grow (and so your body will not cannibalise on your other muscles.) Another good advantage is of, course, you can start eating more delicious stuff (ice-cream! beef steak!) without feeling as guilty as before.

I would also suggest getting some WEIGHT GAINERS (protein + carbo mixture) which you'll see in those gym/health stores. These are excellent source for weight gain. I'm not promoting any brands here, so you'll have to find out more yourself.

If you have any more problems, you can get back to me @ my email.

Don't know how old you are but....................be grateful!!
There will come a day when all of your friends have put on weight, and you'll still look HOT!!!!!!!!!!!! Some of us have a very high metabolizum. Your body is kinda in over drive, and no matter how hard you try, gaining weight is not gonna happen!!! Just sitting, we the lucky few, will burn as many calories as someone else that is walking fast. When we walk it's like someone jogging!! Don't tell anyone else but, I'm 55 yrs old, I weigh 114 lbs, I've got the bod of someone in their 20's!!! Don't let others make you feel bad, you will have your day. Your going to look great for many years to come. And everyone else will just have to envy us lucky few!!!!!!!!!!!!

The important thing to do if you want to gain weight is to eat every 2 hours. The body can only absorb and process a certain amount of food at any given time. If you eat a huge meal, most of that will not be absorbed by your body. If you eat every 2 hours, your body has the time to absorb and process this food.

If you can, try to eat food that is lower in fat. Chicken breast, smoothies with protein powder, peanut butter, rice, oatmeal, cheese, etc. If you just eat food with a high fat content like ice cream and cookies, it's likely to just show up fast in your gut! Good luck! ;)

Okay, ignore all those stupid physcos out there. DONT eat fatty junk food like cake and icecream. What you need to do is load on the carbs with things like bread and pasta, and also eat lots of meats. Remember, muscle weighs more then fat.

good luck with that.

Eating just before you nod off to sleep... so that you don't burn off the calories too quickly.
Eating high GI foods late in the evening
Eating more than you excercise...
