Jassy....
i don't think your gonna like my answer.... pet cage.... i can recommend this, my staffie chewed through a 3 piece suite, kitchen door frame, 3 watches, razor blades, 3 living room carpets, chairs, shoes, anything she could get a hold of she chewed, then i got 2 jackrussell pups, i was dammed if i was goin to let this happen all over again so i started to do some research on pet cages, and you know what Jassy, it was the best thing i bought, not only for MY sanity but the pups love their cage, they cry to go into it now, i can go to work knowing that the pups are SAFE, my furniture is SAFE, at 1st i thought it was cruel, boy was i sooo wrong, look it up Jassy read all about crate training, modify it to your own needs, you will not be sorry.. :-)

That is one bored dog (see where I'm going here?).

A bored dog with nothing to do is like a bored 5-year-old who is forced to sit still all day - a recipe for trouble.

Punishing the dog isn't the answer (although it might be part). You MUST exercise your dog. That means walks, runs, games, etc. A tired dog is a good dog. You don't say what breed he is, but some breeds are meant for work (ie, herding dogs) and then we put them indoors and expect them to be area rugs all day. Well, it doesn't work that way. If you can't make sure your dog is exercised then you need to find a home where he/she will get their exercise (then buy a lizard).

Last... just because you have XXX characters doesn't mean you actually need to use them. Please keep your questions short...

You may want to consider crating him, its safer for him and your stuff. My dogs feel safer in the crates when I am not home. It took them a little while but now they prefer it. Also make sure you dog has plenty of things he can chew on. The Nyla bones are great, the Kongs work wonderfully they keep the dog busy, and tendons or bully sticks are great to. Chewing is a natural behavior in dogs. By his age he could do it out of protest or boredom or he never understood that it was wrong. Make sure he gets plenty of exercise, it expends his extra energy and takes the edge off.

There is this product called "Yuk". We use it at the pet hospital I work at. Its a product we put on bandages to keep them from chewing at them. It really works! It is the nastiest tasting stuff! You can also try Tabasco sauce. Put it on the table leg and then give him a taste. Whatever you do, wash your hands after! Now granted, I have no idea how this stuff is going to react on your furniture. (On the website it says you can use it on furniture) But I also would make sure he has plenty of exercise, throw a ball, Frisbees, etc. Replace his furniture chewing with durable chew toys. I have listed some on the reference list.

if he is blind, there is nothing you can do. if he can't see then how does he know to go in a straight line. my collie was blind also. he was always going in circles. he would walk straight when he could hear me. he was folling the sound of my voice. if you can't live with the circling, then you will need to get rid of him, since he will do this until the day he crosses the rainbow bridge.

Give him a chew toy...you need to be the dominant one and be firm with him.
