Yeah .... I can help. Disassociate your feelings of need for the puppy to bring you fulfillment and do what is right for the animal.
Sorry for your loss.

if he stops when your petting him,get a friend for him.it's a sad thing but if he's from a puppy mill then he's not used to all the open space and he might think he's goin back to a cage so he runs while he can not only that he's used to being around other dogs so get him a friend the same size don't have to be breed and that should make him chill out a bit.and also good for you for takin in the little guy most people would not bother with a dog from a puppy mill because of all the, well, you know of what go's on in those places.and also, his eyes should get better over time don't pump him up with more drugs poor little guy has been through enough.so try a friend for him and you will see a change.

I don't think it's the blindness making the dog spin. Many puppy mill dogs spin in their cages. It's a psychological problem. They have these neurotic/psychotic breaks and just sped the rest of their miserable lives spinning. It's sometimes called going "cage crazy".
The key is to try to make him feel more relxed. Pay attention to when he is spinning. You may need to consult with an animal behavior expert to try and work through this (ask your vet to refer you to one).
My shih-tzu went blind when I was in high school (she has since passed away). She lived a very comfotable life. Just don't move objects, or leave things like shoes lying around. They need consistency in the placement of objects.
Good luck, and I'm happy to hear about someone rescuing a dog from a puppy mill. They are horrible, horrible places.

is that your dog in the avatar space? awww he's so cute!! well i suggest that he just stays resting in one spot if he has a little bed or a dog house it's best he stays in it to rest and u bring him food and water there daily. let him out for about an hour or half an hour each day to play with u for exercise, even if he's running in circles, he knows it's you by smell and he feels safe with his owner. and do everything the vet says because they know best. good luck, i hope your dog gets better soon! :)

Believe it or not, even if he does not get his sight back, he will adjust. Animals have a very unique way of adapting to their circumstances. This does not mean that he will be able to be let out alone, but he can still have a good life as long as he has someone like you who cares for him and about him. Good luck to you.

Well if he is only comfortable when you are there, I would get another dog to keep him company. Don't put him to sleep, he will get the hang of it he just needs a friend to help him through.

Please, just have the little dog put to sleep. I know it's hard, but it sounds like it would be the most humane thing to do.
