I bought a program car in 2004 with 15k on it. Now there is 50k. Here are my problems which I have read others are having but need help fixing: First I need to know how to get the door panel off without damaging it to fix a faulty power lock and a rattling noise, the radio is possesed by a demon and switches channels on me while I'm driving (Toyota sugg. replacing radio rather than fix), and the brakes have always squeaked though they work fine. My main concern is the door lock because it's the drivers door. Sometimes it works and sometimes not which makes me think the rattling noise had something to do with it but I took it to the dlrshp several times and they could not fix. When it works, I hear 3 clicks kind of like a "bad starter" noise coming from the door.

Door latch lock motor is all one part. Your's has internally stripped gear. You will either have to have a shop manual or someone to show you the hidden fasteners and how the arm rest pulls up to revieal more bolts then carefully pop up to twenty trees out of there holes." Yes GM/toyota calls those door panel holding things Trees" Some time the rear window channel has to come off to get the latch past latches have two rods fron the outside handle and two cables rods fron the inside handle best to mark them to where they go. And look for window channel rubber laying in the bottom of the door fron the front window track

As for the brake squeak, the next time you have the brake pads replaced, make sure that anti-squeak compound is used, and if you have a choice, use softer pads. They don't last as long, but won't be so harsh on the rotors or your ears.

they are clips holding the door panel on. you can take a flat head screwdriver and pull the clips loose but be careful not to damage the panel. you will probally have to replace the door lock.
