You can drink a beer anyway you want to.. in a paper bag, or not! Wether you get in trouble or not is up to the local government and the public you are around. If no one cares and there is no police to question you, then you probably won't get in trouble..
If you don't want to get caught.. you could try using a dark colored bottle, such as a 20oz A&W root beer bottle, and putting the beer in it. If an officer believes you are drunk in public, they might still catch you.. My friends used to take 20oz of coke, dump half out and refill with rum and they were never caught.

It depends where you live. Each state and/or municipality has its own "open container" laws. In New Orleans, you can walk down the street drinking any acoholic beverage out of a "go cup" (which is just a plastic cup). In NYC, you better have that beer in a paper bag.

If you want to drink beer in public, why disguise it in a paper bag and make it so obvious as to what your doing? Just go get a freaking dark colored plastic cup and pour it in and nobody will suspect at all.

legally NO.. I do know that many people try to conceil their booze in a paper bag and drink it but if caught they would be picked up by the hungry police here in the U.S.(Lhukngry for money, that is)

depends on the county. In vegas you can, but in most places, you are breaking three laws
drinking in public
open container in public
public drunkenness
The fact that the bottle is concealed, doesn;t change the fact that the above three laws have been broken
