multimap is good, but I've defected to the AA route planner because its instructions are so intuitive. e.g. follow the bend at..., follow signs for... pass X Inn, Landmark such and such...

try google maps
then type in the postcode of where you want to arrive at.
if it is an obscure rural address beware the computer choice may not be either the most practical or direct route

Out of all the above, they have all got me lost in some way or another :-) (normally just at the end of the route). I now use via michelin at http://www.viamichelin.com
It's jost got me to and from Luxembourg (from London) with no problem.

If in the UK, I'd try www.theaa.com, this has a useful route planner complete with the capability to add 'checkpoints' and options to avoid motorways, toll roads.
