Earth rotates around the sun in an anticlock wise direction
(counterclockwise)

so the shadow of an object on earth would move in a clockwise direction.

The first clock made was a bar that is put in the center of a circle and this circle had signes all around to show the time. SO as the earth rotates anticlockwise around the sun the shadow of the bar rotates over the circle in a clockwise direction pointing to the time signs on the circle.

i saw that watch in Bibliotheca Alexandrina in Alexandria Egypt.

have a nice day

It's because people needed a way to say the movement of the clock, and after that using the word "clockwise" to refer to anything else that moves clockwise.

The clock came 1st,then the word clockwise followed suit.

They don't all turn "clockwise". In Australia some people have clocks that have the numbers going the opposite way round the face and the hands also go "anticlockwise" (counterclockwise I think you say in America).
