Its not just the nicotine. Its also the other 50+ chemicals they out in cigarettes. Also the main problem is habit.
We have been used to having body sensations which we translate as 'my body needs something, which we have attempted to satisfy by having a cigarette.
When we try to stop smoking, we still get these 'my body needs something' sensations, and we still feel that we want a cigarette. We have to train our body to be more selective. When we feel we need something, we have to work out what it is that we actually need.
A glass of water is an excellent substitute if nothing else comes to mind, as it helps with the clearance of the toxic substances in our body. Another good substitute is a bag of salted peanuts, used in combination with the water.
Another thing to do is to find an activity which occupies the mind or body. Go swimming - nobody wants to smoke while they are swimming. Slowly, as our body adjusts and translates the 'want something' feelings into something other than cigarettes, then the feelings begin to go away. We know its not a cigarette that the body really needs, because as soon as we've had one we still have the feeling, and want another!

I am a smoker too, and it has to be the most difficult habit to break. I read a book that has brought me closer to quitting than anything. Unfortunately at the time there were too many other things going on in my life so I couldn't concentrate. The book is called "Allen Carr's Easy Way To STOP SMOKING". It is sold at most book stores, and cost me $9.95. It changes your whole way of thinking about smoking, for instance: People say they enjoy smoking, but what do they enjoy?? It's not the taste! It's not the smell! So they are not enjoying it, it's all about the satisfaction of releiving the nicotine craving. I intend to read this book again shortly, and it will work! The book tells you to smoke till the end while reading it, but I had a hard time smoking while reading it. The book makes total sense without nagging you. It's worth a try! You can quit, it's all in your mind and you need to retrain your thinking about smoking!

I don't know if that is possible.. However, go to Target and buy some patches.. You can start out with something low like 7mg so it won't be so strong.... It may be enough to help you stop smoking but not make you climb the walls... I am proud that another person out in American is trying to quit... Its so addicting and harmful for everything in your body..It will be worth it... So what if you get on the "edge" its less stressful than pulling around an oxygen tank or lung cancer chemo

Stick your head in a bucket of water 3 times and take it out 2 times.
Guaranteed to stop you smoking without withdrawls ...
... however, it stops you breathing too.
Sometimes, putting up with withdrawals is the better option. Patches and gum are not as 100% effective at stopping withdrawals as the bucket

I smoked 3-4 packs a day for 20 years and I put them down. I went to a doctor friend of mine, who wrote me a prescription for Welbutrin. This antidepressant has one side effect that most people will like. You loose your desire for a smoke. I took it for 7 days and continued to smoke, and on day 8, put the pack down. I took the medication for a full 30 days and put them down. That was 10 years ago and I don't regret it. After about 3-7 days, the nicotine is out of your system, but one thing to always remember. Smoking was a habit and you can fall off the wagon and pick up one and be right back where you are.
When I am around people who smoke, that first puff they have after lighting, smells so good, I want to eat it, but after their 2nd or 3rd puff, smells like an old ashtray and the urge for one is gone.
Give it a try, go to your family doctor and ask them about it. Welbutrin is the generic name for Zyban, and is much cheaper.

Impossible-You just have to get the addictive chemicals out of your system. Time will do that. Try some sugarless gum, mints, straw and other substitutions to ease the old habit. Once you have gotten through this phase the cravings will become less and less until you would probaly like to have a smoke but can get along fine without one. For me it took about 2 months.

If you are both virgins ignore the comments about cstching STI's or HIV as they cannot be transmitted on if the virus isn't in your body from unsafe repeated sex no condoms with multiple sex partners. Even if you have had sex before with a few partners, doesn't mean you are infected, so if yoy want complete peace of mind go and get tested at a sexual heslth clinic. She can't get pregnant from anal sex. She just needs to prepare you should finger her anus with lube work up to 3 fingers and see what she thinks first.

Not possible. Believe me. I wanted to quit smoking for years but I couldn't stand the withdrawals. I suggest you try everything until you find something that works for you. Nothing can completely get rid of the withdrawals, but you need all the help you can get. Good luck.
P.S. I finally did it, withdrawals and all.
