I not knowing anyone doing this but it's so foreign to me that I just don't get it. Can someone explain what they like about the experience?

I should mention that I'm happi;y married for 15 years. I'm looking to meet anyone. I just want to know what is so great about meeting someone at a speed-dating thing?

I am an older man, happily married. I noticed that there are so many sad and loney people in the world that they will trade their
most intimate moments for a bit of companionship and conversation.
When I was working away from home, I found that I had to be very careful not to be too friendly in places like supermarkets,
restaurants, etc. Even at my age (65), ladies often wanted to
extend the conversation to their bedrooms.
I feel very sad that there are so many very lonely people, and I also feel ultimately lucky that I have the girl of my dreams, and
that I can trust her under any circumstance.

I bought a little dog in a dog shop and she was the sweetest little thing in my life. A real winner. It could happen at a bar, although there is no guarantee with people. Gals who hang around a bar can be 100% bitches but if you are lucky you can get a good one.

People have been doing that for years.
That is why they call bars,"meat markets","pick up joints"..etc.
It is a place where people are open and they feel social,and alcohol also helps to relax and create a good atmosphere.

i agree with you...they get drinking and they are more apt to take home anything....it is a dangerous way to live...i know many guys that does this...i do not go to bars anymore because they think the majority of single women that go into bars are looking for a man or a one night stand...i think that is more a man that likes one night stands...unless she is a looose women...

Yes, and when this occurs you are in serious danger of bringing home the "three-bagger"...That is you need to put a bag over their head, over your head and over the dog's head so he doesn't howl.....alcohol certainly has the potential to lower ones standards....Peace.
