How do I back-up everything on my computer to my hard drive and then retrieve it when the time comes?

z Compress the file you want to save, then just save it on a disc. If you cannot burn, just e-mail a zip-file to yourself.

Why would you want to back everything up on your computer to the hard drive. Its already on the hard drive.

u should be looking for True Image backup software.
it can backup full disk to any other removable disk(including DVD without any 3rd party softwares like Nero).
it's very easy in use and is cheap enough.
