wonder how long can you keep cooked food in fridge (like pasta, rice, vegetables etc - i'm vegetrian so it contains no meat or fish)? i usually try to eat it within 2-3 days (otherwise i freeze it), it seems alright, but can it be kept refrigerated for longer?
shop bough chilled ready meals are usually good for a week or even more, even if ingredients don't list any preservatives. will my own cooked food last that long?

I have cooked food kept in fridge for about five days and it still taste good after I reheat it. It would be better if you seal the cooked food in an airtight bag with the air in the bag kept to a minimum.

I have three days as a thumb rule and I think 3-4 says is what most recommend for cooked food. Just remember to have the right temperature in your fridge.

It depends on the type of food sometimes. If it is raw food used to to cook and its realy well wrapped in plastic or wutever then it shud last for two weeks, but if it is cooked food then u shud get it out of your fridge before three whole days...
