I would say it is the flu. Dogs also get the flu, but the only difference is the dehydrate easily. I advice you to give him some luke warm water with regular table salt in. I usually make it by adding one table spoon salt to one liter water. He probably won`t drink it by himself so you would have to force him. It sounds like he is already dehydrated and you need to sit with him and every time he goes to the bathroom or throws up you have to give him some of that water so that he does not loose all the minerals in his body. I also hope that he has gotten all his shots otherwise the vet is going to put him down

There should be a vet open in your area. It sounds like he has an infection somewhere...hence the fever. Best thing is to keep him hydrated until you can find a vet thats open. The best thing to use is Pedialite which is what kids are given if they have diarrhea or something. You may have to force it in him....tablespoons at a time, and go slow. He should see a vet today. Good luck!

A dog's metabolism is much faster then a person's so if he has a high fever or is sick it will progress quicker. You need to get him IMMEDIATE attention. Check for an animal hospital with 24/7 emergency services in your area. If you don't know of any, call your vet's answering service or even the police might know of one. GET GOING!

The fact that he has vomitted is not a worry in itself. Is he vaccinated? If not he could be seriously ill...and the fact that he has lost his sense of balance is very worrying indeed...you need to call the emergency out of hours number of your vet immediately and get the poor pooch to the vet for rehydration and treatment...poor wee thing do it NOW

Ring an Emergency vet !, and as the others have said you need to keep him hydrated, and try to cool him down in a bath or shower with cool but not freezing water.
But seek help - don't leave it to chance.. Good Luck.

If you've not done so already, phone the vet for advice. Veterinary care for emergency cases is always available.
They can give far better advice than anyone on here.
Hope it works out ok.

I'd really get him to a vet like everyone says. There are ER vets out there...check your yellow pages. It could be anything...he's too precious to let him suffer. Good luck and I hope everything is ok.

Ring your vets, there is usually an emergency one on call, they will tell you whether you need to take dog to them or what you can do to help him. I've done this and they are very helpful

the same thing happened to my dog, he lost his balance, couldn't walk, and kept being sick, I was so scared that it was something really serious, (and it happened on Christmas), but after I carried him into the garden, he had a lie down, and then "went to toilet" he seemed fine, my dad said that it must of been constipation, well, that's the only guess I've got, I really hope that helps and your dog is better soon.
