I'm a little rusty at this so help would be great

I went out on a second date with a guy, after I left he sent me an e-mail to tell me how much he likes me. I felt really relaxed with him but he did mention in the e-mail he thinks I'm struggling with shyness. I'm not. Also when we talked last on msn he was a little brief with me, do you think he is losing interest?

His perspective is likely prompted in a sexual vein. This is to say that he finds you 'shy,' because in his mind you are not sexually inclined at the level he desires. This explains why he thinks you are shy, when clearly you are not.

yes he is being brief it isn't your fault your shy ,but then again you said you was knot shy , i think this man is looking for all your bad qualities even if you don't have any he will make you paranoid and make you think you do , this man is a compulsive and i haven't put compulsive liar or compulsive weirdo because that's just what he is compulsive be care full with this person , as for loosing interest if i was going out with a girl in the first stages i wouldn't of left her alone i would want to be around there every minute of the day trying to get my leg over and other things as well I'm knot being rude but you asked , and this is a honest answer, Hope i have helped , "B"

Maybe he just thinks that you can not be yourself with him because you are so quiet. Open up to him more, if you can't do that then maybe you are not into him and he should move on.
