If you are an unmarried parent, there is no fathers name on the birth certificate. Then there is no permission needed. Go off and have fun.

But if the fathers name is on the certificate this could create a problem. I had a lot of problems. Legally I needed permission to take my son on holiday. I was told by the solicitor, only 2 weeks a year.
Though we did have a 4 week holiday and no one said anything.

His name was different on the passport to our new family name so it was questioned once.

If, however, the other parent has had no contact for more than 2 years you can have the child's name changed by dipole to the new family name.

All depends on when the child was born!
If the child was born before 2003 then no, he/she would need the consent of the mother (or whoever is the full time guardian) and only the mother or guardian would have parental custody/responsibilities to that child even if the absent parent is named on a birth certificate.
However, children born after 2003 can go out of the uk with either parent IF the absent parent is named on the birth certificate. HTH

Depends on which parent, You have to have parental responsibility for the child, the mother automatically has it, but a father who was not married to the mother and not named as the father on the birth certificate would have to apply to be accepted as someone with parental responsibility through the courts, or just get their name added to the birth cert. If you have parental responsibility you can take them abroad for up to 4 weeks without permission from the other parent.
I have this with my children, i dont have to get permission but i do do the polite thing and let my ex know where they are going and when, in case of emergency.

I am not sure about the UK but in the US you can take them out of the country on a vacation but if you plan on moving, even out of state the other parent must consent. So it might be the same there.

How is abortion evil? you've for sure not in any respect been in a topic were abortion might want to be a risk so that you do not have any suitable to guage any women those who makes a call to abort her toddler. Aborting a touch one is already a confusing adequate determination to make and that i do not imagine they favor to listen for your opinion about it, particularly in case you don't understand the guy. you don't understand why they favor an abortion. some thing might want to have got here about to them. i do not imagine in case you receive raped and then pregnant with your rapists newborn that you'll favor to maintain it and some human beings in simple terms get pregnant too youthful. would not or not that's extra perfect for a young person to abort their newborn, get a good practise, meet someone and then have a newborn with them? fairly of them preserving the toddler and giving it up for adoption or resenting the newborn because it prevented them from having a ideal practise? (i'm conscious that no longer each and every teenage being pregnant is going undesirable and that i recommend no disrespect to all and sundry who has had a teenage being pregnant) If abortion develop into unlawful there might want to be an develop in again-highway abortion that may be very risky and there's a intense threat of death. also, many women individuals may have complications and get heavily ill even as pregnant, if this happens the mummy is regularly recommended to abort her toddler as there's a intense threat she might want to die. on the right of day, that's the moms determination if she needs to abort HER toddler. no one else's. in case you pick to maintain your toddler, that's high quality. If some different person chooses to abort there toddler, that's high quality. get over it, that's 2013, the mummy has a suitable to come back to a call what takes position to HER toddler and HER body. no longer you.

I believe that a mother can (i have) as she automatically has parental responsibility. A father has to have written permission from the mother even if he's on the birth certificate unless he has equal parental responsibility normally given by the court.
If in dealt contact citizen advice or a solicitor.

No. You would need documentation: Proof of permission to remove the child from their home, birth certificate, and probably a passport as well as medical records.

As far as I know, yes.

If one can prove there is an intention or conspiracy to commit a crime involving the child you may get an injunction. However, if it a simple holiday, not really.
