If you want to have a good life and you feel bad about not being in school, then register. You're saying that you want support, if someone says 'Yes, you should do it', THAT'S support. You shouldn't listen to what people say if they put you down, if you want to go back then go back and work hard and do it for yourself. I failed my first year at college and cried throughout most of my summer holidays until I swallowed my pride and went back, I hardly get any support from m family and sometimes I feel like 'I should be in University now' but the way that I look at it now is that first year was like a gap year, I messed about. Just do stuff for yourself and forget what other people say.

Well I think one positive first step is that you recognize that you're stubborn. I was the same way when I was a teenager. If my mom told me to do something, I automatically didn't want to do it even if it's something I originally really wanted to do!
If you're serious about wanting to get your life back on track, take this first thing you've learned about yourself and put it to positive use. When you find yourself rebelling against something, take 5 minutes (it can feel like a lifetime) and think really hard about why you're rebelling against it. If it's just to be rebellious, DON'T DO IT! You'll quickly find that you'll notice a difference in yourself. Your parents won't notice it as soon as you will which can be frustrating. But eventually they'll see it. And when they do, all that pressure will slow down and you'll be more content.
It is possible to get back on track in school and with the negative energy. Trust me, I've been there. I was the screw up in my family and now I make more money that anyone else and they see that I was just a late bloomer who had to do things in my own time.

Why are you 2 years behind? Did you drop out voluntarily or do you have learning problems? Whichever it is you need to speak to a mentor who will be sympathetic, advise you and support you. I am guessing you live in USA so I can't advise you where to go or what to do. But I would say that I think you deserve credit for having the courage to actually ask this question that shows you want to do it for yourself! Don't listen to what others may say if they are being negative - its your life and if you want to do something then do it! I wish you very good luck.

Yes! Go back to school. For now it's the most important thing you're going to need and it'll be the only treasure that will last forever your parents could give you. And besides it'll be your foundation for starting your future. GOODLUCK! Chum! ; ) Don't be stubborn because it can be the reason of your downfall.
