I'm a little homesick for the Canadian prairies while I'm here in Hong Kong. Any suggestions on where to go to get a hint of Canada? Note: A place in HK, as I'm here working!!!

Hey there, i don't think you're going to find a lot in HK that will remind you of Canada!
I live in Shanghai and i'm a westerner so i know how you feel.
Try to enjoy your time in HK instead! not everyone gets the opportunity to live abroad. HK has a lot of GREAT shopping malls, beaches, markets and nightlife. there is also a lot of foreigners living there. You could put a notice in a paper or in a western mall saying that you are looking for canadian friends. (or of other nationalitites) People with the same nationality as you are probably the closest you will get to home! When you get back to Canada you'll realize that you miss HK. so use your time wisely, being away will only make you appreciate Canada more. =]

Hi :O) , I cant comment on HK never having been there but can I suggest you use Google and do a search for Canadian Web cams. There are some beauty's and I am sure if you got a look at Canada for real this would help.

Why not try Google Earth, you can zoom into any place in the world even the street and house you were born in. Or you could have someone from your family send you some family photos. Put them on a wall where you can sit quietly and take your memories back there, it should help at least until you get a chance to visit home.

ok now go straight and take the secon left
to the main road
now take the highway6
you will end up in a narrow lane
from there you can see the statue of liberty
now take the second right you will find canada

You may like to take the train into China on weekends, not much like the priries but at least you get more space.
