car sound system?

i would like to get a better sound in my car,i have a toyota camry 2003 and the factory sounds okay,but i want a little bit more kick,i don't need to wake up the street but,if i pull up at a light i want the person in the next car to hear what song i am playing,i would like to know what is the best thing i can do to inprove my car stero without breaking my bank account........6x9's amps ect

yeah just get ya some 3 way 6x9s like some pioneers or sony explodes there not too bad bout $70-100 and a lil kenwood or fosgate amp would be good like a 400 watt 2 channel with the crossover on full pass this will run ya around $120-150 and a 8 gauge amp kit bout $20-60 depending on the brand-this should juice it up a lil bit for ya

think about adding some better speakers, the fact speakers are not always the best, try gettting something middle of the road on cost, add an amplifier with a single sub woofer in the trunk for base and low end frequency. Like you said you don't to wake the dead and the neighborhood. Boston acoustics, Infinity, Bose, these are to name a few. fi you want to really get sound info, find a local audio shop and tell themur on a tight budget, how can you improve you sounds..they usualy help, while also trying to gain ur business too

replace the factory speakers with aftermarket and probably a small amp to push the rear. i had a '84 olds (big car) just replace the rear 4x10's with Alpine units the same size and put a small Kenwood amp on them sounded just like what you described. Inside the car, friends thought I had installed a small subwoofer....it alltogether just rocked for cheap!
