If God is protecting Israel (Jerusalem) nothing will happen.

If God is not protecting Israel, then it means the Bible is nonsense so there is no reason for Jerusalem to continue to exist as a spiritual center.

It seems to be a quick, effective solution to the question, "Are the end times near?"

What do you think?

BTW, For those who worry about God's curse, Romans destroyed Jerusalem in 135 CE and nothing happened to them.

Hitler was a Zionist so your reference to Hitler is illogical.

And if you are referring to Jews, the majority of Jews live outside Israel.

The question has nothing to do with any specific religion, it is related to the ongoing violence supported by those claiming we are in the "end times."

I'm suggesting we should stop dragging it out and get it over with.

I see, so y'all don't really believe God is protecting Israel?

Which makes the entire "support Israel" argument moot since Israel is no more significant than Bangladesh.

To Loss:

The Roman Empire continued to exist for several hundred years after destroying Jerusalem. If they were cursed, it sure took God a long time to get around to cursing them.

Christianity was invented by the Roman Empire in the 4th Century, over two hundred years after Jerusalem was destroyed.

To Mr. Mister:

Prior to the invention of the Universal Religion and consolidation of all the religions in the Roman Empire into that religion, Christians were not an organized religion. They were independent sects all preaching whatever they wanted to preach.

The Nicene Council established "Christian doctrine" and the Roman Empire forced all Romans to adopt it as their official religion.

What we call Christianity, as an organized religion, was invented in 325 CE by the Nicene Council.

That is a historical fact. (and has nothing to do with the DaVinci Code)

If God is protecting Israel I don't think I want to be the recipient of God's protection. Its the most war-torn place ever, life is never good for anybody there I don't know why anyone would choose to live there.

There are a lot of people that seem to take this seriously. What a great collection of retarded answers you've gathered here. Thanks for the laughs.

Hi!

In reference to...

"BTW, For those who worry about God's curse, Romans destroyed Jerusalem in 135 CE and nothing happened to them..."

The Roman empire fell/was conquered and no longer exsists...

The Roman empire was established September 2, 31 BC

The Western Roman Empire ended on the 4 September 476. And the Eastern Roman Empire, widely known as Byzantine Empire, was conquered by the Ottoman Turks on 29 May 1453.

Maybe that was their punishment from God for sacking Jerusalem...

*****EDIT*****
In reference to...

"The Roman Empire continued to exist for several hundred years after destroying Jerusalem. If they were cursed, it sure took God a long time to get around to cursing them..."

All I can tell you is that God works in His own time... not ours.

And it is kind of obvious that God is protecting Israel... Look up the "The Six-Day" war...

Four countries... Iraq, Egypt, Jordan and Syria... tried to take out Israel-- (these are four LARGE countries when compared to little old Israel). They were defeated in less than six days. What is even more odd is that Israel did not just keep the other four countries from taking over... Israel took land from them!!!

Six-Day War
Date June 5, 1967 – June 10, 1967
Location: Middle East
Result: Israeli victory
Territorial changes: Israel captured the Gaza Strip and the Sinai Peninsula from Egypt.... the West Bank (including East Jerusalem) from Jordan... and the Golan Heights from Syria.

He also said that it would be reborn. which happened in 1948,
and that the generation that witnesses its rebirth would not pass until everything happens in revelation.

Also was mentioned that the last war would be over Israel which is cooking right now.

Also mentioned is an event in which the entire world would witness which was impossible over 100 years ago. Now with internet satellite communication with the knowledge explosion ( also predicted) it is very possible.

A global order is already prepared and is ready to be installed minus a catastropic event which will bring all stocks to a collapse
(also predicted)

I can go on step by step...

You need to read it and think about it before you say its a myth

Didn't the Roman empire fall? Perhaps not right after, but still...

Edit to add;
Thanks! I was to busy to look it up. ... Just a thought though, Jerusalem still exists, even though it's rebuilt. What if is the total destruction of Jerusalem that is meant. With no rebuilding.

This is the worst question that I have ever seen. Do you know any history? I think NOT/ Every country that tried to destroy Jerusalem went down in ruin. I am sure you are antisemetic. If you are Christian dont you know that Jesus, lived and died as a Jew The roman civilization went down stupid. Why dont you move to Iran where the idiot who runs there wants to destroy Israel.

Do you need to taste poison to know whether it's poisonous. Just a thought, your idea of nuking a place here on earth just so you can rest assured whether the end times are near or not is just as stupid as a religious nut killing his own child to see if god will resurrect him and reward his religious zeal.
Whether jerusalem is of any significance or not no place on earth should be nuked.
You are a grade A moron, who would do the world a favour if he shot himself in the head! Why don't you do that and see if god will resurrect you.

Dear Blind guy:

Where are the Romans? They went out like the 1976 Buccaneers (0-14).

Anywho, your question sort of continues the blessed hope of Christ's return. He said you'd ask such foolish questions.

So, to be blunt, I don't think, I know the end is near. And you my friend are just another ignorant (not insultive, just in not knowing your facts concerning this subject.) confirmation.

The definition of happiness is "being content material with one's self." It doesn't topic how a ways up the ladder-of-lifestyles we've got climbed, as a substitute its how we dealt with others as we make the elaborate climb to the highest.

Since Israel is no longer God's people, than what happens to them doesn't matter. When the curtain tore open, everyone could see that God's Holy Spirit no longer resided in Israel. Christians became God's People, or the new Israelites. And just as was foretold, they fell away from God. The Apostle Paul saw this in his own time, when he said it was as if he had worked for nothing, because they had returned to the rituals, observances, and man-made holidays of men. Now, the question is when will they turn back to God? In order to do so, they must set aside the practices that Paul spoke about, but they find that too hard to do.
