Waxing thick facial hair is not recommended. This hair is different than the rest of your body's hair, which can be easily waxed. You may be subjected to wax rash, ingrown hairs, & other problems. See a professional stylist if you're determined--don't try at home.

A body sugar, designed for the face (and specifically the beard) would be recommended. Then, apply in small patches to get the desired "groomed" effect. Watch out for ingrown hairs though-an exfoliating face scrub or loofah should be used regularly after the redness/bumps go down. (Which won't be long, provided you use a good post-depilatory oil or balm.) I forgot to add: make sure the hair is at a length necessary for the product to work, but not too long-trim it to 1/8 to 1/4 of an inch, if needed.)
