I use DAP which is pretty fast. Are there any faster than DAP?

okay well the reality check: there actually are NO software available that can ACCELERATE the download speedof your internet service.. there is a theroetical (and practical) limitation and that is your internet service...
the download managers you talk about (including DAP) are merely diverting most of the bandwidth to your downloads which IE does not do.. but if you go for the speed they show you on the DAP status bar then i bet IE is the best bet to download stuff (it starts downloads at 1MBPS) which aint correct...
the only way to enhance your file download experience is to get a good internet service.. dialup sucks get DSL, cable or broadband.. MAKE SURE THAT you do NOT download a large number of files at once... MAKE SURE that you do not browse a large number of pages at once.. HENCE ensuring maximum internet speed to the downloading file (thru a download manager or not)
i have used GetRight and i have used DAP .. but now i simply use the DTA extension for Mozilla Firefox..!

If you can find ones with a lot of seeders, torrents tend to be extremely fast because they're taking information from so many sources at once. DAP is limited, I believe, to 15 or 25 copies of the same program. Torrents are not.

limewire but if you take securty at a verry high level & you have a firewall/ anti virus why use p2p files software ,you only open your pc to the world if you do that you may as well just remove the firewall & the anti virus coz when you use p2p file network your get more then just music/movies/software what happens on limewire and other p2p software is they put all this in the files

use INTERNET DOWNLOAD MANAGER 5 .
it is so fast as DAP and supports all files to download .even it downloads webpges
