What are some things I can try to help with the pain. I have a broken molar and I am already taking Vikodin ES and they just are not helping?

I certainly hope that you are going to the dentist in the next day or two. Until then, maybe some Anbesol, Orajel, lots and lots of alcohol????

You can get some OraJel or other brand of benzocaine 20% in your pharmacy and use a cotton tipped swab to rub some down inside the tooth.

Sleep on an extra pillow to elevate your head. Sleep on the side that does NOT have a toothache. If that doesn't work, you can move to a recliner or the sofa so you can keep your head really elevated. This will minimize the blood flow to the area and therefore minimize the throbbing and pain. This might help you make it through the night until you can see a dentist.

I apologise for not knowing the name of this medicine, but you can get it from the drug store without a prescription. It is a little bottle of red liquid, with tweezers and tiny cotten balls. It really numbs your tooth better than orajel. The pharmacist will know what you are talking about with my description. Don't let your tooth go without getting it repaired for too long or you will end up having to pay for a root canal if you want to save the tooth. I feel for you because I just had the same problem recently.

Do visit a very good and DENTIST.

but still for the time being If you end up having any braces or dentures or gums or any tooth related problems then you can use a medicine called GUMEX
which comes in 15, 25 and 60 ml packs. I use the 25 ml pack which comes to rond about Rs 40.

LUCK SHOULD FIND ITS WAY IN YOUR TOOTH.

Hope something works out.

Clove is well known to numb tooth pain. You can buy the essential oil in pharmacy or maybe soak some clove buds in alcohol for a mouth wash...

Heart pain can be felt in jaw/teeth. If this is a possibility, go to the emergency room. If you have other symptoms of heart problems, call 911.
