Imagine putting a pillow in the middle of your mattress and then putting several sheets or blankets on top of it. The highest point of the pillow above the surface of the bed would be the hinge and the places where the sheets and blankets come the closest to the surface of the bed would be the limbs. That would be an anticline.
If you want to picture a syncline, turn it upside down. Or imagine you and your mother have several just-washed sheets or blankets in your hands and you are standing a couple of feet apart. The sheets and blankets nearest your hands are the limbs and the sag in the middle between you is the fold.

Wikipedia says: "Looking at a fold surface in profile the fold can be divided in to a hinge portion and the limbs. The limbs are the flanks of the fold and the hinge is where the flanks join together. The hinge point is the point of minimum radius of curvature for a fold. The crest of the fold is the highest point of the fold surface, and the trough is the lowest point. The inflection point of a fold is the point on a limb at which the concavity reverses, on regular folds this is the mid-point of the limb."

A fold is where the strata is crumpled or wrinkled into a "W" shape. So the straight parts, like " / \ ", would be the 'limbs' of a fold and the missing " ^ " at the top (or " v " at the bottom) would be the 'hinge'.
