Wheat Pasta is made from a variety of different wheat or Grain product. Yes, as these Laymen pointed out almost all flours are indeed wheat...but the wheat in wheat flour is not as processed as regular pasta flour therefore it gives it the brown wheat color, the same process as multi-grain bread

Regarding pasta..... regular pastas are made with refined flour...which is why it is called a bad carb. If you want great pasta with good carbs and more nutrients, switch to whole wheat pasta.

Hey Jack,
Nearly always universal:
Semolina and Duram. They are both wheat flours.
In Chinese cooking they sometimes use Rice Flour, Except in the USA where it usually is Wheat.
