haircut should complement your face shape.
round: try layers that falls inches below your chin
square: layes too but start it at the same level of your chin
heart / oval: any cut
and dont try to get a cut just because its "in" or your favorite celebrity is sporting it. and fads come and go quickly. but hair does not grow as fast. so get a cut that suites you whether its a 60's style or not.

you should do your own thing but if you really want the latest its side cut bangs with thined out hair and high lights
