You might try taking Vitamin E 400-800 IU daily, and applying vitamin E oil to the scars.

It depends on what kind of scars they are.
I get dark marks on my face from picking at my acne. (Yuck!) I use Aveeno's Clear Complexion Cleansing Bar every few days. It's a bit drying so I don't use it every day. What I love about it is that it does something to those dark marks that makes them peel off like paper. But only the dark marks. It's amazing. I've used it off and on for a few years now.

There is a product on the market called Mederma it, costs about $13.00 a tube, but it is formulated especially for scars. Depending on how deep your scar tissue goes it may help smooth them out if used as directed.

My daughter has had great luck with the Pro-Active products. They have a repair lotion for this. Also Mederma Scar Cream seems to work great.

Wiseone said microdermabrasion and sometimes that works well. However, when I went for my skin cancer check, the doc said that microdermabrasion wasn't that great anymore. She said there are new techniques that are much better. So microdermabrasion may work for you but I'm checking into the new stuff. It's all very expensive.
