Look I generally have no problem with Indians, though be careful and call yourselves native Indians, some people here might get upset.

Did you guys also invent wishful thinking? Your list above is loaded with misinformation which would be too lengthy to go into one by one. You also invented the caste system, pay for wives, over population, filthy holes in the ground and disease. If you are going to claim all the good take the bad with it.

Next time keep your question to under a full length novel. Your food still sucks.

I don't think anyone has a problem with India. I find Indian people very likable. And the Taj Mahal, what a testament of a mans love for his wife. I do have a problem with the caste system though. I believe everyone was created equal and nobody should be doomed to poverty just because they were born into the wrong caste. I also believe that America has so many professionals that are Indians is because this is the land of opportunity. And of coarse America is made up of people from every nation on earth for that very reason.

Well since you started off with Indians in America I'll say a little. America is the only country in the world that extends full membership to outsiders. An American could spend 40 years in India but would not become Indian. In America, by contrast, hundreds of millions have come from far-flung shores and over time they, or at least their children, have in a profound and full sense "become American."
Ask a million Indians which country they would rather live in. America or India? I believe the majority would NOT pick India. The whole first part of your question is about U.S. born Indians. Anyone can pick great things from any heratige accomplished in the U.S. I don't believe the same thing can be said about India. Indian scientists, engineers, economists and managers go away to the US and help increase its economic and technological power. So where does that leave India and why do they do that? And how can you compare a very old country to (in comparison) a very young one?
India is getting pretty good at politically advertizing its country, which you have fallen into. saying it is a robust and important economic power and that every Indian today is well off, that every farmer uses mobile telephones to inform his wife of his lunch menu and every villager is now experiencing broadband and plushly carpeted motorways. When in fact in India every morning a person can see thousands defecate on the roads because they haven’t been able to provide toilets and basic housing? How can one explain away street urchins and begging children when one actually sees them at traffic intersections. India should not concentrate on what advances they can make in the U.S. but concentrate on what they can do to help the enormouse poverty its country experiences everywhere everyday. When you do something about that, then blow your horn here and be proud.

Congratulations, and thank you for the facts, As for my personal view, my only gripe with India is the cast system ... and certain garish art. Aside from that, I have not had anything ill for India. I passed on this info to 91 of my very closets friends.

And you should be proud to be an Indian.

I don't think that India or Indians are frowned upon on these boards. Why should you feel that people are going to complain?

Ehh.. I guess I take that back. I forgot the mentality of some of these fools.

Good for you Asif.
I'm Australian and I'd dispute some of your assertions (pi - do you mean 3000 years ago or 1400 years ago?, Marconi was well aware he did not invent wireless telegraphy, he just refined it to the point of being useful) but overall I'd agree.

No country has the monopoly on invention or culture.

Are you serious? The bible is God's word or whatever and if you're saying "well don't just read that cause it won't make sense read the scholar's writing too" then you're saying the bible won't make sense and you shouldn't have to read any scholar's writing's to understand the bible. The bible is supposed to be the words to live by and if you need to further understand it with scholars writing's then you know in your heart the bible is pure crap.

WELL IF WE AMERICANS GOT TAX FREE LOANS FOR 3 YEARS OF OPENING A BUSINESS WE MAY HAVE SOME MONEY TOO, HOWEVER WE DON'T HAVE THAT OPTION AND WE WOULDN'T BE GREEDY ENOUGH TO SELL THE BUSINESS TO ONE OF OUR RELATIVES AFTER 3 YEARS SO WE COULD ROB THE AMERICAN PEOPLE MORE.

NOT TO MENTION THAT YOU ALL GET TO GO TO SCHOOL HERE FOR FREE SO THAT EXPLAINS WHY THERE ARE MANY INDIAN DOCTORS, DENTISTS AND OTHER PROFESSIONAL JOBS DOMINATED BY INDIANS. IF WE WENT TO SCHOOL FOR FREE, WE'D DOMINATE THOSE FIELDS TOO, BUT WE CAN'T BECAUSE WE ARE TOO BUSY PAYING TAXES TO PUT YOU THROUGH SCHOOL.
