We have all grown up reading Archie comics but somehow, i feel they teach things like vanity, overspending, jealousy, two-timing, lying to parents, etc to kids....

I need your views!

yep, i did grow up reading them, but somehow ive never been influenced by it. but they are nice to read, i do hate veronica though! she does nice things sometimes, but in the most annoying way. my fav is jughead cause he seems to be indifferent to everything. but yeah, after u pointed out the morals of the comic, it is kinda bad isnt it? but there are alot of worse things than that. lol, u're a deep thinker!

I remember Archie comics years ago that used to have a moral to them. Very Christian, I remember one in particular that had an Anne Frank Story in. Not read them for years, but the old ones definitely had a moral message in the stories.

I truly felt Jug Head Jones was a glutton and a stoner. He ate as much as Shaggy on Scooby Doo. The guy was constantly eating junkfood.

Reggie was obsessed with money.

Archie was like a Richie Cunningham.

I grew up reading them and never read any of that into it. Kids won't. It's only nit-picking adults that pull everything apart and try to find fault with it. Do you find fault with Bewitched and Caspar the Friendly Ghost too?
