its not the kids its your ex that turns them off

I have kids and found that women without kids wanted men without kids. I respected that but I do feel it was unfair. the idea that there will be drama is not always true. Most that have that rule never even try to see if there was drama or not.

I feel women with that rule are really interested in a man that she can call her own. A man with kids is always a reminder to her that there was someone else before her. Yeah, that sounds juvenile but I think it's true, some women just don't want to deal with it.

I know if I were in their position I would feel the same.

I ended up marrying a woman with kids and I still feel it is just that much more difficult to deal with the kids on top of dealing with the usual issues that come with marriage. but it's something I have to deal with since that's the cards I delt myself.

For the same reason it is hard for guys to like girls with kids. Very few individuals want to mess with raising someone else's kids. The potential for trouble is immense. I think all parents would discourage their sons and daughters from marrying someone with dependent kids. They want their kids to be happy. Marrying a ready made family is a prescription for unhappiness. Generally that is true, but there are exceptions that work out splendidly. However, with kids it is no longer man meets woman. It is man with kids meets woman, or woman with kids meets man. The kids have to be for the match, for the marriage to be successful. If the kids are against it, there will be big time problems. Avoid.

Its not hard for girls at all! Cant generalize that girls dont like guys with kids. However, it does add extra complications to the relationship - cos if u do get married, u wld have to spend some money on child support each month.

I think its the same with guys who are dating women who have kids, no one wants to date someone who has constant contact with their ex, or dealing with their kids.
Plus if a girl is dating a guy who has kids, there's more pressure on her coz if the kids don't like her, there's more chance the guy will dump her and take the kids side, plus no girl wants to share her guy with kids (esp when the kids aren't hers) to her they are just an inconvenience.
Plus she won't be able to discipline them when they play up, basically a girl would not date a guy with kids coz it would be a recipe for disaster, a girl wants a guy she can have all to her self, not a guy with baggage and reminders of his past.

Thats a big responsibility for one. Two women dont like to be on the back burner. And by having a child that child has to be your eveything so there for you should have no time for her. THen there is the money issue. The guilty trip that it plays on us. "OH my GOodness couldnt't he be spending this on his son/daughter" . And last but not least most females DO NOT want to deal with Baby mama drama

I didn't know it was. A man with kids who shows concern and love is a man with character.
