Thank you for this question.

Yes I agree wholeheartedly, but you must also understand what is meant by worship.

This is the basic fault of taking a line of any holy scripture on it's own without any context.

What is missing in your question is the discussion on exactly HOW do we worship. This discussion is contained in other verses of the Quran as well as in many Hadith in which this verse and others are discussed as to exactly what they mean.

For instance, when Muhammad (saw) says that "No one is a Muslim until he wants for his brother/sister what he wants for himself." He is revealing some of what this verse means. For the word Muslim can be translated as one who submits to the will of God and therefore is a worshipper. So in this case Muhammad is telling us one way of being a worshipper and, therefore, fulfilling God's purpose for us to be here.

In fact, in another Hadith, it is said that God created all of creation out of a deire to be known. This is the "Hidden Treasure". It resides in all of our hearts.

And Allah knows best.

Peace and Blessings,

Salim

IF mankind was created by any kind of superior being, then it is a likely assumption that the creator had something in mind with them.

but to assume that we were made only to worship our creator, puts him within the realm of human emotions and desires.
this has been the case ever since men imagined gods, see the greek or roman pantheons, for example... their gods are just like us, only bigger, but neither wiser nor more intelligent, fighting among each other over petty animosities or for their own profit...
the modern monotheistic religions have amended that to a degree, but i find it still a bit smallminded to think a god would create us just to listen to his own praise.

mind you... there is a big IF right on top of this... personally i do not believe in creation. or rather... i do believe in the creation of gods by mankind.
and we made them to be in our likeness...because our minds were to small to imagine something greater.

i don't think of you grants him credit for Cena in accordance to se, yet some thing I do accept as true with. i'd also throw Mankind on the record. at the same time as it includes The Rock and Stone chilly, i imagine Vince capitalized better on them than he easily did create their gimmicks. Stone chilly became doing the anti-company component in ECW and the Rock became in actuality only Dwayne Johnson finally snapping on the crew upon getting negative face reaction. i'd also placed the nature of Mr. McMahon on the record. i recognize it sounds unusual, yet Vince's suited introduction is possibly his on-air personality.

i agree cos worshiping God includes many things other than just praying . being fair ,honest , productive person is part of worshiping God ...but more important that you devote everything u do to Allah.
i think that is the real meaning behind" mankind is created to worship Allah"

Sort of. We are created to walk with God, communing with Him. In pursuit of His presence, we worship Him. As sinners we cannot, of our own accord, commune with Him. He is God, The God. That is what we worship in awe of His greatness, though the Creator loves His creation and chooses to make sacrifice for us that we might live eternally with Him.

you definitely took worshiping in a sense like staying all the time in a room and praying God etc, just let your mind open a bit. worshiping God means, to thank him for his blessings, to be dependent on God's mercy etc etc, and most important to accept him the only one to be the creator of this universe.

Christians say the same thing: the chief end of Man is to worship and glorify God forever.

I believe we can do that in the way we live our life without subscribing to an organized religion.

Which God?
They must have all worked together then to create humans because their frail egos needed a boost!!!
If the Muslim God created man, where do all the non-Muslims come from?

WORHSIP IS ADORATION TOWARDS SOMEONE OR SOMETHING YOU TRULY & DEEPLY LOVE. WITH WILLINGLY SUBMISSION. IT IS AN EXPRESSION OF AN UNDEFILED, UNTAINTED, PASSIONS OF MENTAL INTELLECT; INTIMACY OF THE MIND SOUL AND SPIRIT, WHICH IS THE RELATIONSHIP GOD WANTS US TO SEEK AFTER HIM FOR. IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE A BEAUTIFUL LOVE AFFAIR OF THE MEETING OF THE MINDS, ONESS; GOD AS THE HEAD OF THE VIRTUOUS CHURCH, HE SEEKS AS HIS BRIDE. WHAT ONE LOVES THE MOST, IS WHAT ONE WORSHIPS AND NOT ALL WORSHIP IS DESERVED OF THE LOVE THAT IS FORCED UPON IT. AND NOT ALL LOVE IS PURE. IF LOVE IS PERPELLED BY HATE THEN IS IT NOT LOVE; IT IS PURE HATE.

Yes, i do. However, it's not just to worship God. God also wants us to discover God's wonders now and after death. We will be in awe of God's wonders and naturally worship... not be forced to or be insincere of heart.
