Have you heard of fried Pepsi? What is it?

I was watching the news and I caught the tail end of what the reporter was saying and he mentioned that a diner in New York was making fried Pepsi. Sandwiches?

Fried Pepsi is a thing they only serve in new york as far as I know,,,,,I'm sure you could find the recipe and make it yourself but I'm not for sure where to look. A look on yahoo search doesn't bring anything up. Sorry.
