I drink SO much diet drinks - not carbonated, ever - but crystal light and such. How much is TOO much? Aspartame and sucralose is scientifically SAFE. But some people say they can have adverse effects?...

They make you fat.
Have you ever seen a skinny person drinking a diet soda? No, it's fat people drinking them by the case, so obviously diet sodas make you fat.

You would have to drink a pallet of 10x12x12 of aspartame every single day in order to suffer adverse effects from it or from sucralose. It is not humanely possible to drink that much fluid in one day, so don't worry about it :) you are quite safe.

Drinking water is better, but that said I add sweetner to natural yoghurt everyday and I've been doing it for years and I'm fine. It's not the best thing obviously but it's not terrible.
