does anyone know how this works, my sky keeps breaking up at the same time each day stating no signal it comes back what do u think the reason for this is, it cant be weather interference, is it sky doing maintenance, or is it to do with the satelite in space, and thats my main question is the just one sky satelite serving everyone or more than one for difference channels

No, there is only one Sky satellite, which delivers all the channels to all subscribers. If you look at where the dish is pointing, is there anything in the way, that moves every day at the same time, like a crane or some large structure, which could block the signal? What time of day does this happen, and is it at the exact same time every day? If it's not external then it could be something inside your house on a timer that's leaking into a poor quality or badly screened cable. Has it worked ok for some time and just started doing this ? You may have to get the installer back to realign the dish if you can't find any other reason.

odd how its same time each day or do you just notice more at that time? It sounds like the lnb on dish is breaking down intermitently, easiest way is to phone sky, if out of warranty threaten to cancel, stick to canceling option no matter what they say to you eventually they will say ok we repair it free of charge, do this it does work. i know lots of sky engineers and i have told many this and none have paid yet ,even my daughters sky was fixed free this way

sky only desires to bypass down the phone line for the first 12 months. i recognize that because we presently put in sky and multi room and the engineers that outfitted it stated it only had to bypass down the phone line for 12 months yet conserving that if we disconnect it from the phone line the exhibit turns off conserving it really is been disconected so look into it first!

If you have a problem with your Sky service, comnplain to the provider - you are after all paying them for the service, and they should provide it. You don't need to know how tyhe service works.
