hello sister! i was born into Islam but just started wearing it around ramadhan last year. it was hard for me at first but soon enough, preying eyes werent preying anymore and that was the moment i felt at ease. i dont know how to alternate styles yet and still learning, but ive started to love buying broochs for my hijjab, i love ones with rhinestones in the shapes of flowers, butter/dragon flies! and there was one i bought from a flea market in a shape of a lipstick. really beautiful. so far i havent had any criticisms since i live in a Islamic country, alhamdulillah.

happy Ramadhan to you too!

I started to wear hejab 4-5 months ago ( indeed I am muslim almost 2 years already)..
Can see how opinion of people is changing.
I feel more respect and interest from other muslims now rather than being not covered and stated that I am muslim

Ok for people who don't know, hijab is a veil for women to cover themselves. It has many forms like:

1) Scarf http://www.scarves-manufacturers.com/where-to-buy/gifs/model-3.jpg

2) Abaya http://www.fashionsera.com/pcat-gifs/products-small/Abaya-102.jpg

3) Niqaab http://www.thecanadianmuslim.ca/i/niqabsetblack.jpg

women are free to choose their style of hijaab but doing it IS important.

Wearing hijaab gives a woman, a decent and modest look. It protects her from the eyes of Non-mehram men (men she is not related to i.e. who are not his fayher, brother or husband)

Allah respects such women too cuz they control their desires and cover up their bodies knowing that their bodies are not exhibits for just about anyone to look at with disgust or even appraisal. A woman should be praised only by her husband.

I wear a head scarf with long coats and i feel secure.
