Is it true that you have to do cardio to burn the fat around your stomach before you can do crunches and actually see the results? I do crunches every day and I still don't see any results, is it because I have to burn the fat first? If so, what kind of cardio can I do to burn just the fat around the stomache?

It is totally true about cardio for burning stomach fat! I had/have a similar problem to you: I have more fat in my stomach than in other parts of my body so when I lose weight the most fat that is left is still there. The first thing to do is eat healthily, next is to exercise, lots of cardio is best and then crunches and sit-ups will tone the muscle beneath the fat (I also do Muay Thai which is great for toning the stomach and legs, arms and back too, actually pretty much everything), but the cardio I found best for dropping the fat is working out on an elliptical machine. Hope that wealth of sweat, trial and error and personal experience helps!

I am not aware of any scientific studies that indicate that there are guaranteed means of losing fat from a specific area of the body (though I realize many products and programs claim this).

A well-rounded regimen of both healthy dieting and regular exercise is the best way to lose fat. Different bodies will behave in different ways, and everyone will tell you a new way to burn belly fat if they think they can get in your wallet. But generally speaking, healthy living is still the best way to have a healthy figure, and zeroing in on fat in one area may not be productive.

I recommend speaking to a doctor about it. A medical doctor who does not have an interest in your finances beyond your office visit. And see what you get for an answer. :) Good luck!

in medical terms your these words have no meaning ;like cardio;in medical it means related to heart; and burning fat around stomech by cardio is out of knowlege'?if your fproblem is overweight and you want to reduce your fat ;take reguler exercise; walking; and be careful about your diet' if you are so fatty and having a belly protruted ;which disturb you; then you can go to a cosmetic surgen ; by open surgery he removes that fatty layer ;
