Am considering if she is a poodle or a shih-tzu mix?

She is the size of a Miniature Poodle puppy (I have another 4 year old dog, she's a miniature poodle and was that size as a puppy)
This puppy has a bit of white on her paws and some on her chest as well as her chin. She's about a foot long.
Her fur, compared to my poodle as a puppy is very wavy, but not curly. My poodle's hair as a puppy was similar to this, so I'm hoping she's a poodle.

I've narrowed it down. She is either a Shih-Poo or a Cockapoo.

it's too young to be able to tell what she is, maybe when she's
a little older we'll be able to figure out what she is
cant the people you got her from tell you?

While it has been a while since I have seen a shih-tzu, to me the puppy looks like a poodle. The poodle that I had in the past had short dark (she was black in color) fur that was rather curly. With a poodle, you will need to take her/him to the groomers early on ( the sooner the better) so that it can get used to being washed, dried and then groomed. The earlier that you do this, the less stressed the dog will be and their fur will stay in good shape.
You can get them used to being bathed by bathing them in the bathtub or the sink (if they are small enough) and then towel drying them. Also it wouldn't hurt them to get used to the noice of a blow dryer set on low to blow dry them out when it is chilly outside.
I like to wash my dogs about every 4 to 6 months - depending on if they smell or not. If they smell, then they will very definatnly get a bath.

Hard to say but likely a poodle mix, as the backyardbreeders of the world have an endless supply of cute poo-named puppies they need to market.
Asking the breed of dog is always a good idea before you get it. Even if it's a mix, the parentage will help you learn what to expect in terms of personality, size, and whatnot, and will give you an idea on what type of health problems you should be especially vigilant of down the road.
Cute puppy!

This could be a Peek-A-Poo, looks exactly like our Boo when we bought him home, but I'm sure it is a Poodle mixed with some other small dog.

I am a groomer and have been for 17 years, and it looks like you nailed this one. It looks like a shih-poo to mee. hahahaha. No seriously, it does look like a shih tzu poodle mix. You are doing great answering your own questions! :-) Another option... a schnoodle aka poodle, schnauzer mix.

I had one only it was white, looked almost identical to that one. It was a cockapoo. Mixture of a cockerspaniel and a poodle. She was a great dog. The one you have there is adorable also.

no longer without a image. Coat color is an exceedingly undesirable attitude to determining breed, because many breeds are available an complete host of hues. What we truly favor is head structure, body structure, how the ears are placed on the right, and so on. that supplies a lot added information about lineage. attempt re-asking with a image.
