When I read all the above answers, I feel so sorry about our engineers. I feel sorry, bcoz, I tried this question with many engineering candidates while trying them for appointment at our Co..but hardly few could answer right. anyways, coming the core,

1) Electrical Engineering deals with flow of electricity / electrons through conductors.

(like Inductors, Coils, Resistors, etc)

whereas;

2) Electronics deals with flow of electrons through semiconductors & thermo-ionic components.

(like Diode, ICs, Transistors etc including Vacuum Tubes).

Pls Note, it has got nothing to do with High voltage or Low voltage. Or AC / DC etc, since even in Electronics u may deal with Killo Volts, and similarly you may find an electrical motor or a bulb of 5 volts.

Electronics is the branch of physics that deals with the emission and effects of electrons and with the use of electronic devices.

Electrical engineeringis an engineering discipline that deals with the study and application of electricity and electromagnetism. Its practitioners are called electrical engineers. Electrical engineering is a broad field that encompasses many subfields including those that deal with power, control systems, electronics and telecommunications.

Electrical engineers generally deal with large-power applications, such as utility and industrial power systems, whereas electronics engineers deal with low-power systems such as computers and communications.

The basic difference is that electronics usually deals with voltages less than 12volts.Electrical deals with high voltages.Electronics is applied in daytoday activities by converting hig voltages to low voltages by using devicews like transducers.

Electronic has more to do with devices, such as radios and their components.

Electrical is more often in reference to wiring and the generation of electric current as in house wiring.

In a nutshell - When you deal with low energy transfers at low voltages (apprx. 5volts and less), its referred to as electronics.
On the other hand, when dealing wtih bulk power at higher voltages is referred to Electrical.

basically electronics is a part of elctrical engg.
but in electronics we study about those circuits and devices which take small current and voltage like microprocessor, multiplexer, decoder,op amps etc.
while in electrical we study about power systems and related subjects .devices which take huge current and have higher ratings then small circuits.eg motor ,generator.etc

The basic difference between electronic and electronic and electrical is :
Electronic work with D.C (direct current) where as electrical work wiht (A.C) alternate curren and its 220v ,230 and 110v.
