Because it's awkward to kiss someone deeply and look into their eyes at the same time.
I actually believe that early movies may have played a role in setting that tradition.. I don't remember.. and going off the top of my head.. It looked better on camera to have the actors eyes shut.
Please correct me, if someone knows better.

cos they want to take in that every moment. keeping d eyes open will make u loose ur concentration. u can truly appreciate d beauty of it only wit ur eyes closed... n it is one of d best ways to express love...
