Well, if my boyfriend sharted on me (Nice "Along came Polly" quote), I wouldn't leave him. Did she break up with you or did she just get grossed out and leave? No offense, if she left you just because you accidentally did that, she wasn't worth it anyway. However, if you really love her, you gotta make a grand gesture. Send her flowers. Write her an apology letter (not by email because that's too informal). Give it a good effort, but if she still doesn't forgive you, I would have to say let it go. You did it by accident, and not pun intended, sh,it happens.

What do mean by you started on your girl? Maybe you made her feel uncomfortable by being to forward and up front with her. Have you tried asking her what it is exactly you actually did wrong and take it from there to try and fix the problem you have with her.
