You should find people your parents like...they know a lot more about dating than you do. Remember they were once dating too.

I think so. I would want my boyfriends parents to like me, and I would want my parents to like my boyfriend. It make the relationship better because when you are in a serious relationship parents also play a role. If you aren't in a serious relationship, and don't see yourself being with that person for the rest of your life who cares if the parents like you are not.

Yes. At least getting to know them. Just because your parents picked him out, doesn't mean he isn't a great guy. I don't mean to make guys sound like a piece of furniture, it's just an example. If your parents said, Hey, I found this great living room set, we think you should come and look at it. They may have bad taste, but what if it's really a good living room set? You should at least do them the curtesy of looking at it.

Its great that your parents might like them. That is a foot in the door, but you have to like the person yourself. This person might treat you nice infront of your parents (because the are parents) and might treat you different when they are not around. You have to look at how this person treats you and if you like the treatment you recieve from them. Don't let your parents arrange your BFs from you.

what kind of question is that . are you one of those girls that have to have a bad boy so you can show your parents that you are going to do just what you want . grow up girl you have to have someone that your parents like of sorts you may need help some day and they may say sorry go get his parents to help you . iv'e been married 42 yrs and my mother in law loved me as one of her own . when you grow up you will under stand good luck . p.s. what if you went to there house and they gave you the cold shoulder would you like it i think not .if you wanted to make a good impression on them and they told there son that they don't like you . you would be hurt . same for him

sure your parents know best sometimes,
but not always but if they think hes worthy enough he will probably be good to you after all you wouldnt want to date someone mommy didnt aprove of it would make your realationship hard for you and your parents but then agin theres some real slackers out there to so you gotta ask yourself is he what YOU want??

that only depends on the relationship that you have with your parents. I am married to a man that my family does not approve of but I love him and he is so good to me and that is all that matters.
