It depends on how old she is.
You could take her to a place with a play structure such as McDonald's or Chuck E Cheese.
If she is quite young there is Gymboree.
Some of the drop-off child care places give a certain amount of fun activities, but you need to check and even stick around the first time to see what goes on there.
Some YMCAs have child play areas or child care centers.
Some museums are specifically for children, such as the Children's Discovery Museum in San Jose, CA.
Some churches have a children's room for young kids during services.

I am a part time college student sometimes I take my son to like BK where they have a play area and let him play while I study. I also have him in pre school. I also have a friend with a son around his age that he plays with.
